Myrtle Faye Syx, age 71, of Damascus, formerly of Alliance, died at 3:25 p.m. Tuesday, August 21, 2012, at Pleasant View Nursing Home.
She was born March 11, 1941, in Wellsburg, West Virginia, to Asa and Myrtle (Dennis) Eddy.
Myrtle is survived by her husband, Leonard L. Syx, whom she married July 13, 1980; daughters, Mary Faye Roosa and Gatha J. Hall; son, John Wayne; stepson, Patrick Syx; ten grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; former husband, Don Wayne; sons, Max Allen Wayne and Donald Wayne Jr.; and brother, Max Lee Leasure.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 27, 2012, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Friends may call 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will be at Kadesh Chapel Cemetery in West Virginia.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family for their discretion.
