Nancy A. (Siddons) Oesch, age 80, of Alliance, died at 4:40 p.m. Thursday, April 26, 2012, at her home.
She was born November 7, 1931, in Brooklyn, New York, to James and Nan (Mullen) Siddons and has resided in Alliance for 52 years.
Nancy was a graduate of Bay Ridge High School and Pratt School of Business. She worked for Women's Wear Daily, a Rockefeller Center ad agency in New York, National Airlines in Miami, Florida and office manager for the family owned oil distribution business, with her late husband, Alfred Oesch. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and loved reading.
She is survived by her children, Jane (Dwayne) Holbrook, James (Shalmers) Oesch, Jill Oesch, all of Alliance, Chip (Jody) Oesch of Rootstown, and Julie (Chris) Hale of Alliance; grandchildren, Matt, Kaitlin, Meghan, Alex, Will, Andrew, Adam, Ethan and Mallory; brother-in-law, John Oesch; sister-in-law, Marilyn Henry; several nieces and nephews; and friend and caregiver, Liz Shamblin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Alfred Oesch, whom she married January 15, 1957, and who died August 28, 2007.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home Pastor Neal Mann officiating. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
