Nancy (Frances) Ann Porter

Nancy (Frances) Ann Porter, age, 85, of Alliance, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2016, at Viera Hospital in Florida.
She was born January 29, 1931, in Alliance, Ohio, to Edward and Frances (Clayton) Cracknell and was a lifelong Alliance resident, currently residing in Florida.
Nancy was a 1948 graduate of Alliance High School and was formerly employed with the Alliance Health Department for many years.
When in Alliance, Nancy attended Middle Sandy Evangelical Presbyterian Church.
In addition to her husband, Robert W. Porter whom she married August 28, 1949, Nancy is survived by her daughters, Sherry Lynn Porter of Enterprise, Alabama and Conny Kay Porter (David) Campbell of Viera, Florida; two grandsons, Jason (Christy) Definbaugh and Joshua Beene; four great-grandchildren, Jacob and Zachary Definbaugh and Britley and Ryleigh Beene; and son-in-law, James George.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Debby Ann Porter George; sister, Clarice Unkefer; and a nephew, J.D. Unkefer III.
Services will be held at 3 p.m., Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Tracy Edwards officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, May 2, 2016. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
