Nanette "Nan" Brush

Nanette “Nan” Brush, age 85, of Alliance, passed peacefully to Heaven on Friday, February 14, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born September 10, 1939, in Alliance, Ohio to Leonard and Lucielle (Sina) Zarrelli. 

Nan was an Alliance High School graduate. Her passion in life was caring for others which led her to be a nurse for 25 years. 

She was a member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church and the Alliance Women’s Club. She loved her weekly card games, concerts downtown, and was always “out and about” doing something. She enjoyed going to lunch with family and friends, and vacationing with her family.

Survivors include her sons, Larry (Tracie) Brush and Louie Brush; grandchildren, Nanette (Tyler) Schmidt, Darilynn (Louie) Rainieri, Larry Jr. (Perry) Brush, Stacie Adkins, Hayley Swanson and Hidee Brush; great-grandchildren, Jovanni, Kadence, Garrett and Dexton; sister, Gail Stauffenger and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Nan was preceded in death by her parents; her husband William “Bill” Brush of 59 years; daughter, Lori Gleich.

 A private Mass will be held at Regina Coeli Catholic Church with Fr. Thomas Dyer as celebrant.  She will be laid to rest at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
