Naomi I. (Teter) Breit, age 90, passed away on January 8, 2018, at Danbury Senior Living in Alliance.
She was born October 25, 1927, to Richard E. and Irma (Royer) Teter in New Baltimore, Ohio. Naomi graduated from Marlboro High School and Kent State University.
She spent her career of 31 years in the Marlington School District teaching second grade, English and art. Mom loved being involved in her grandchildren's lives. She also spent many hours crocheting and journaling.
Lawrence R. Breit, age 90, passed away on January 10, 2018, at Danbury Senior Living in Alliance.
He was born May 25, 1927, on a small dairy farm in Marlboro, Ohio, to John and Estel (Kimble) Breit along with brothers, Marvin, William and Lee; and a sister, Aileen.
Lawrence attended Marlboro High School where he played baseball, football and basketball.
During World War II, at the age of 17, he enlisted in the Merchant Marines, traveling to many parts of the world.
In 1948, Mom and Dad married. Dad worked at Babcock and Wilcox Rush Street as a welder for 17 years. Being industrious and energetic, he built three houses while working full-time. Later he became a pipeline welder in the Plumber and Pipe Fitters Union.
After retirement, Lawrence and Naomi wintered in Bonita Springs, Florida for 31 years, where they enjoyed softball; Dad playing and coaching, and Mom as scorekeeper.
Lawrence and Naomi are survived by their children, Sue (Mick) Dennis of Pennsylvania and James (Lynn) Breit of British Columbia, Canada; seven grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.
Naomi was preceded in death by her brother, Darwin Teter.
Lawrence is survived by his brother, Bill.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held later this summer.
