Nathan E Daum

Nathan E. Daum, age 91, of Alliance, passed away Tuesday August 4.

He was born February 15, 1929 in East Canton to Paul L. and Kathern (Richards) Daum.  Nathan was a graduate of Alliance High School, who then went on to serve his country serving two years in the United States Air Force.

Nathan was the former general manager of Beverly Farms Dairy in Alliance. He served at Vice-President of Yoplait Yogurt, Vice-President of Country Fresh Inc., and was Vice-President of Sorrento Cheese. At the time of his retirement he was serving as president of Frostbite Brands in Claire, Michigan.

He was a member of the Vine Street United Methodist Church.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Dolores (Wright) Daum, whom he married in October 1946; children, Linda (Terry) Wilson, of Alliance, Edward (LuAnn) Daum, of Minerva, Lou Ann (Paul) Stout, of Westminster, Colorado; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Paul L. Daum, and Richard J. Daum.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

A private family service will be held, with Pastor Mike Farmer of Vine Street United Methodist Church officiating.
