Nellie Frustos

Nellie Frustos, age 96, of Alliance, died at 5:00 a.m. Thursday, June 9, 2005 at Community Care Center.
Mrs. Frustos was born July 15, 1908 in Curwensville, Pennsylvania to Phillip and Gina (Benincasa) Sheldone, and was raised in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania. She lived in Alliance from 1926-1972, and then resided with her daughter in Longwood, Florida prior to returning to Alliance in 1999.
For many years she and her late husband Benny, owned and operated Benny's Food Market in Alliance. In later years, she worked as a baker at Jeanette's Restaurant and Hunt's Hillcrest Market.
Mrs. Frustos previously attended St. Joseph and Regina Coeli Catholic Churches, and was a member of the Ladies of Christopher and Ladies of Dante.
Survivors include one son, Ben (Marilyn) Frustos of Canton, Ohio; two daughters, Mary Jean Reale of Pickerington, Ohio and Corrine Densmore of Longwood, Florida; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Benny Frustos, whom she married Nov. 24, 1926, and who died in 1970, five sisters and four brothers.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Fr. Donald Feicht of St. Joseph Catholic Church officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
