Nelson Van Lambert, age 78, of Alliance, died early Wednesday morning, November 24, 2010, at his home.
Nelson was born July 27, 1932, in Alliance, Ohio to Clarence and Mary (Little) Lambert. He was a 1951 graduate of Alliance High School and a veteran of the U.S Navy.
He was employed by American Steel Foundries for over 30 years until retiring.
He enjoyed bowling, making wine, and spending time with his family and his grandsons.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia A. Lambert who he married February 3, 1957; two daughters, Lisa Jo (Kevin) Lambert Ziemke of Indianapolis, Indiana and Nancy Elizabeth Lambert of Alliance; two sons, Christopher W. of Kent and Nelson Eric of Alliance; 5 grandsons, Ian Davis, Tristan, Kazdan, Waykan, and Aidan Lambert; one brother, Clinton (Beverly) Lambert of Alliance; and many nieces and nephews. Nelson will also be greatly missed by brothers in-law and sisters in-law; Clyde, Elsie, Lorice, Nancy, Marvin, David, Rhoda and Judy
Nelson was preceded in death by his parents and brother Denton Lambert.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Sams officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Monday. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
