Nettie Knipp

Nettie L. Knipp, age 90, of Alliance, passed away at 6:45 p.m. Sunday, September 5, 2010 with her family at her side.
She was born May 13, 1920, in Globe, Kentucky to Scott & Martha (Lowe) Dean.
Mrs. Knipp was employed as an inspector at Alliance Manufacturing retiring after 29 years of service. She was a member of the Local 750 U.A.W. and the Maranatha Church of God; where she was a Sunday School Teacher for fifty years and president of the Ladies Ministries.
Survivors include two daughters, Gladys (Chester) Bryant of Alliance; Cathern (Charles) Turner of Sun City, Arizona; four sons, Dempsey (Marti) Knipp Jr. of Lake Milton, Donald Ray (Susan) Knipp of Mentor, Phillip (Patricia) Knipp of Salem, and James Wesley (Patti) Knipp of Atwater; 31 grandchildren, and many great and great-great grandchildren.
Nettie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dempsey A. Knipp whom she married December 26, 1936 and who died in 2005; two daughters, Hazel Aldridge and Jeannetta Jones; and one son, Carl Knipp.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Jeffrey W. Caldwell of Maranatha Church of God officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday (tonight) at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
