Nickolas D. Matz, age 38, of Homeworth, passed away Saturday, February 8, 2020 at his home.
He was born December 21, 1981 in Alliance, Ohio, to Daniel L. and Sandy J. (Bon) Matz.
A graduate of West Branch High School, Nickolas was employed as a technician at Ohio Drill and Tool and was affiliated with the Middle Sandy Presbyterian Church.
Nickolas loved the outdoors, riding his horse, Kit, and loved spending time with and hunting arrowheads with his son Liam.
He was an avid car enthusiast, and also enjoyed playing with his dogs, Chloe and Delta.
Nick will be forever loved and missed by his family, including his parents, Dan and Sandy; his wife Molly J. Matz whom he married July 13, 2019; son, Liam Matz; step-children, Bayleigh Carver, and Rayden Carver; big brother Dan (Jody) Matz Jr.; many aunts, uncles and cousins; three nephews and a great-nephew.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, February 14, 2020 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Thursday.
Interment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to Sandy Matz, c/o Consumers National Bank, 610 W. State Street, Alliance, Ohio 44601, where a fund for Liam’s college expenses is being established.
