Norma Jean Hoover

Norma Jean Hoover, age 86, of Alliance passed away at 9:05 p.m., Thursday, May 8, 2019 at Community Care Center of Alliance.

She was born September 20, 1932, in Alliance, Ohio to Walter F. and Mary D. (Barnes) Hoover.

Norma attended Science Hill School, a one room school house in Lexington Township, and graduated from Alliance High School. She was a member of Science Hill Community Church.

She was formerly employed in accounts payable at Clem Lumber Company in Alliance for 45 years. She loved to go shopping, vacationing, bowling, eating out and especially spending time with friends and family whom she loved so deeply. She held all those things close to her heart.

Survivors include her cousins, William Barnes and Carolyn Miller, both of Alliance; many nieces and nephews; and her loving friend and caregiver of 17 years, Sharon Carlson of Alliance.

Services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 18, 2019, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Jonathon Truax officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m., Friday, May 17th at the funeral Home. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
