Norma Miller

March 30, 1925 — July 22, 2008

Norma J. "Nan" Miller age 83, of Alliance, died Tuesday, July 22, 2008 peacefully at her home.
She was born March 30, 1925 to Boyd and Ethel (Winesburg) Twyman in Sistersville, West Virginia.
Norma graduated from Alliance High School and attended Mt. Union College. She was formerly employed by Dr. Sheehan as a dental hygienist.
She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church. She was an elected Elder of the church board and was instrumental with others in refurbishing the educational wing and the church organ. Nan was also involved with Delta-Delta-Delta Sorority at Mt. Union College and served as a patroness. She was formerly a member of the Alliance Women's Club and the Alliance Country Club. Nan had been active in her bridge club for 60 years. She loved gardening, her horses and her cats.
Nan is survived by her daughters, Beth L. Miller and Joyce (Frank) Caserta, both of Alliance; four granchildren, Gina, Michael, Frankie and Tony Caserta; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Kenneth B. Miller whom she married August 19, 1945 and who died April 10, 1995; and one brother, Ralph Twyman.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday July 26, 2008 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Jim McCurdy of First United Presbyterian Church officiating. Friends may call Friday July 25, 2008 from 6-8 p.m. Entombment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
