Norma Jean Schwinn, age 73, of Marlboro, died at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at Altercare of Alliance.
She was born February 3, 1937, in Marlboro, to Clyde L. and Ruth E. (Miller) Hoff.
Norma attended the former Marlboro High School and was formerly employed at Cutty's Sunset Park for over 15 years.
She was a member of the Marlboro Christian Church, its Women's Guild and Friendship Sunday school class, and very active in serving the church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially spending time with her grandchildren, great- grandchildren and keeping the community news current.
She is survived by her husband, George G. Schwinn whom she married September 20, 1954; her daughters, Debby (Mark) Tedesco of Tampa, Fla., Lois (Robert) Griffith of Marlboro and Teresa (Bill) Lins of Alliance; son, Scott (Marci) Schwinn of Marlboro; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a brother, Robert Hoff of Marlboro.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 10, 2011 at Marlboro Christian Church with Ed Harnish, Minister officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Interment will be at Marlboro Cemetery.
