Norma Lear Swab, age 84, of Alliance, died at 5:25 a.m. Friday, August 8, 2008 at Alliance Community Hospital.
She was born May 5, 1924 in Warren, Ohio to George and Irene (Harris) Job.
Mrs. Swab graduated from Warren Harding High School, moved to Alliance in 1955, and was a member of Union Avenue United Methodist Church.
A loving mother and grandmother, she will be missed by her family, which includes three sons; Richard Lear (Patricia Wasley) of Seattle, Washington, James (Carol) Lear of Alliance, and George Randall Lear of Costa Mesa, California; two daughters; Cathie Barany of Midlothian, Virginia, and Lori Vocila of Alliance; two step-daughters Cindy (Frank) English of Newton Falls, Ohio, and Suellen (Mark) Peterson of Westerville, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
Norma was preceded in death by three husbands: Edwin Lear, Joseph Ross, and Dale Swab; one brother George Job and one sister Lenora Jones.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 11, 2008 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Hoyte Wilhelm of Union Avenue United Methodist Church officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
