Olive Hilker

Olive Mae Hilker, age 85, of Atwater, Ohio died at 6:20 a.m. Friday, May 23, 2008 at Roselawn Terrace in Alliance. She was born July 22, 1922 in Atwater, Ohio to Arizona and Mary (Manypenny) Brock and was a lifetime resident. Olive was a 1940 Atwater High School graduate. She was a member of the Atwater Congregational Church and was involved in the Ladies Fellowship there and also was a member of the Atwater Firettes. Survivors include her husband, Richard Hilker of Atwater, whom she married September 1, 1940; three sons, Tim Hilker of Atwater, Sam (Donna) Hilker of Indiana and John (Vicki) Hilker of Texas; three daughters, Susan Henderson of Tennessee, Mary (Albert) Lieder of Florida and Carolyn (Richard) Belvin of Ravenna; a sister, Eldora (Paul) Ritchie of North Carolina; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her eldest son, Daniel Hilker. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Atwater Congregational Church with Rev. Bill Witt officiating. Friends may call from 1-3 p.m. Sunday at the church. Interment will follow at the Atwater Cemetery. Arrangements are by Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home, Alliance, Ohio
