Olympia (Dragich) Helsel, age 99, of Sebring, passed away at 7:40 p.m., Thursday, July 17, 2014, at Crandall Medical Center.
She was born October 23, 1914, in Alliance, Ohio, to Nick and Sophia (Senondarla) Dragich.
Mrs. Helsel had been previously employed at the former Alliance Rubber and Alliance Manufacturing. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and an avid reader.
She is survived by her husband, Russell E. Helsel, whom she married June 23, 1948; son, Bruce E. (Patricia) Helsel of Alliance; daughter, Marcia K. (Arthur) Swetye of Stoutsville; grandchildren, Christopher Helsel, Paul (Erin Hendricks) Helsel, Philip Helsel, Ashley (Kyle) Babbitt; and brother, Charles (Ann) Dragich of Fort Worth, Texas.
Preceding her in death were her parents; brothers, Nick, George and Jordan Dragich; and a sister, Parachiva Costea.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Stephanie Lee officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Entombment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
