Oscar Middleton, age 82, passed away on Thursday, May 20, 2021.
He was born in Olive Hill, Kentucky on July 3, 1938, the son of Russell Middleton and Litha (Knipp) Middleton. He was employed for 35 years at American Steel Foundries.
Oscar enjoyed gardening, the outdoors, blue grass music, flea markets and trips to Amish Country.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Virnel (Moore) Middleton; daughters, Lisa (Jerry Lee) Quinn and Kristina Shatzer; grandchildren, Michael Quinn, Nathan Quinn, Megan Quinn and Katie Shatzer; three sisters, Esther Lemaster, Helen Middleton, Louise (Fred) Dunaway; and two brothers, Carmel (Betty) Middleton and Kenny Middleton. Oscar was a father figure to many of his nephews and hope they all forgive him for the teasing he was famous for. He was always ready for a good joke and a laugh. Oscar was an honest man and a hard worker. The love for his family was always abundant. His grandchildren were his pride and joy.
Many thanks to Jim and Cha Utt for their lasting friendships. May you all be blessed to enjoy a good life like Oscar did. Help pass along some kindness in this world and love your family. Oscar will be dearly and greatly missed.
