Pamela Sue Coontz

Pamela Sue Coontz, 50, of North Benton, Ohio, unexpectedly joined her father, Chuck, and her grandson, Beau, in their eternal home on May 27, 2024, surrounded by her loving children, fiancé, and sister. 

Pam was born on August 5, 1973, in Alliance to Chuck and Linda Pinkerton.

Pam was a longtime resident of Deerfield and graduated from Southeast High School. 

Pam was a devoted mother and cherished “Granny,” celebrated for her unwavering loyalty, kindness, and caring nature. She spent the last eight years joyfully with her soulmate and fiancée, Jody Burkey. Pam found great joy on her beloved “funny farm” with her fur babies, and she delighted in playing euchre, listening to Kid Rock, watching the Golden Girls, and enjoying evenings with her many friends. Above all, Pam took immense pride in her role as a loving mother and grandmother, which she considered her greatest achievement in life. Pam’s contagious laugh and loving personality touched the lives of everyone she met.

Pam is survived by her fiancée, Jody Burkey; her children, Erikka Kuntz (Zach), Terra Postiy (Tyler), and Mikey Coontz; her grandchildren, Rilynn and Luke Postiy, and River Kuntz; her mother, Linda Pinkerton; her sister, Tina Pinkerton-Wagner (Brian Markham), and brother Mike Pinkerton (Sandy); her niece and nephews, Tiffany and Brandon Abrams, and Michael and Travis Pinkerton.

A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at the Deerfield Town hall on June 2 at 2:00 PM (1450 OH-14, Deerfield, OH 44411). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Forget-Me-Not organization in her honor and in memory of her grandson. Donate here.
