Pamela Jean Roosa, age 65, of Canton, died at 5:28 p.m. Thursday, October 27, 2011, at Mercy Medical Center.
She was born August 6, 1946, in Alliance, Ohio, to Glenn and Jean (White) Funkhouser.
Pamela was a 1964 graduate of Alliance High and was formerly employed by Alliance Manufacturing Company and Stark County Jobs and Family Services for 27 years retiring in 2002 as a supervisor.
Pamela enjoyed doing needlework, crocheting, and reading. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughters, Tauna (Willie) Bowman of Alliance, Vanessa Roosa of Canton; seven grandchildren, Nichole Loshark, U.S SPC Christopher (Mariah) Loshark, Natalie Roosa, James Hill, El Lyjahrell Harvey, Cervontrell Cooper and Isreal Williams; two great-grandsons, Jonah Loshark and Jaden Hill; sister, Patricia Pontius of Youngstown; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, David; and a sister, Peggy.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, November 3, 2011, at Alliance City Cemetery Mainwaring Chapel with Pastor Steve Rhodes of First Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow.
