Patricia Jane Hons, age 79 of Alliance, died at 2:55 a.m. Saturday, February 28, 2009 at Aultman Hospital.
She was born April 16, 1929 in Alliance, Ohio to Harry and Louise (Graves) Taylor and was a lifelong resident.
Mrs. Hons graduated in 1947 from Alliance High School, and attended Canton Business College.
She previously worked as a Nursery School Teacher for 18 years at Union Avenue United Methodist Church, and in 1993, retired after working as an Instructor for the Alliance Latch Key Program. Pat was a member of AARP and attended First Christian Church.
Survivors include one son, Gary (Cathy) S. Hons of Alliance; one daughter, Susan L. (Barry) Howe of Sebring; three grandchildren, Justin Hons, Derek Hons and Sara Yoho; and two great-grandchildren, Connor Hons and Kayleigh Taschwer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jerry M. Hons, whom she married July 9, 1950, and who died August 10, 2005, and two brothers, Roger Taylor, who died Nov. 19, 1982, and Dale Taylor, who died Nov. 4, 2004.
A private service was held.
