Patricia Lee Humphrey

Patricia Lee Humphrey, age 87, passed away at 8:07 p.m., Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at Brookdale Salem Assisted Living.
She was born August 25, 1930, in Alliance, Ohio, the daughter of the late Arthur D. and Delpha (Bandy) Swindell.
Patricia was a 1948 graduate of Alliance High School. She was employed for the West Branch Local School District as a food service director for 23 years, retiring in 1993.
She was a member of Middle Sandy Presbyterian Church in Homeworth, where she served as a church elder and was involved with the Presbyterian Women. She was also a life member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary and the Western Columbiana Historical Society.
Survivors include her daughters, Kathleen D. (Charles) Ratie and Nancy H. (James) McCorkhill, both of Salem; six grandchildren; two brothers, Daniel A. Swindell of Minerva and David J. Swindell of Gold Beach, Oregon; and a sister, Marjorie A. (Harold) Roberts of New Waterford, Ohio.
In addition to her parents, Patricia is preceded in death by her husband, Norman E. Humphrey, whom she married May 14, 1949 and who died February 14, 2000; and son, Richard A. Humphrey.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 10, 2018, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Rev. Tracy Edwards of Middle Sandy Presbyterian Church officiating. Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
