Patricia L. Richmond

Patricia L. Richmond, age 67, of Alliance, died at 11:26 p.m. Monday, July 26, 2010, at her home.
She was born March 17, 1943, in Alliance, Ohio, to Marvin and Novello (Lane) Polen.
Pat graduated from Alliance High School in 1961 and was a 1965 graduate of Mount Union College, where she earned a Bachelor of Music Education.
Pat was formerly the secretary at Christ United Methodist Church, where she was a member. She was formerly director of the Youth Choir, Youth Bell Choir, and belonged to the Chancel Choir, Bell Choir and played piano. She was also an Alliance Community Concert Association board member, and active with Mu Phi Epsilon.
Survivors include her two sons, Chris (Marion) Richmond of Barberton and Colin (Jessica) Richmond, of Canton; two grandchildren, Joseph Lyle and Chloe Marie; and sister, Ann (David) Swarts of Cleveland Heights.
Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband, Joseph L. Richmond whom she married June 24, 1967 and who died June 3, 1999.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 30, 2010 at Christ United Methodist Church with Rev. Karl Stonebraker and Rev. Chris Martin, co-officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Christ United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 470 E. Broadway St. Alliance, Ohio 44601.
