Patricia L. Mathews

Patricia L. (Green) Mathews, age 78, of Alliance, passed away at 6:50 p.m. Sunday, April 3, 2016, at her home.
She was born July 5, 1937, in Ravenna, Ohio, to Arlo and Georgetta (Mort) Green.
Pat was a 1955 graduate of Atwater High School and a member of the Beechwood Christian Church.
She was a den mother with a local scouting program and a longtime member and officer in the TOPS Club.
Pat developed a talent for silk floral arranging and prepared countless wedding flowers for area couples. She enjoyed traveling out west, including numerous trips to Arizona and Las Vegas, and was a devoted Cleveland Indians fan. Both Pat and her late husband appreciated the fellowship of the Beechwood Christian Church
Survivors include her sons, Gary (Patty) Mathews and James (Heather) Mathews; grandchildren, Nicholas, Spencer, Tanner and Piper; and nieces and nephews, Arla Daves, Patti Wittensoldner, Judi Loshark and James Trump.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 58 years, Gene Mathews; and her sister, Linda Trump.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, April 7, 2016, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Black officiating. Friends may call from 11:30 a.m. till the time of the service. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
