Patricia A. (Penrod) Unkefer

Patricia A. Unkefer, age 77, of Alliance, passed away at 4:02 p.m., Sunday, June 16, 2019, at Canterbury Villa of Alliance.

She was born February 6, 1942, in Alliance, Ohio, to Lawrence E. and Anne I. (Kibler) Penrod.

Patricia was in the last graduating class at Science Hill School, and then graduated from Alliance High School and the National Beauty College of Canton. She had been employed as a beautician at Mount Union Beauty Shop and worked 25 years at Kmart Restaurant until her retirement. Throughout the years, she enjoyed supporting her children, and was an active member of Band Boosters and PTA.

She was more than a 60 year member of the Science Hill Community Church and sang in their choir and also a past member of Modern Homemakers.

In addition to her daughter, Beth Ann Unkefer of Parma Heights, and son, Wade E. (Anne) Unkefer of Carrollton, she is survived by three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Connie (Bob) Poto and Lori (Craig) Reay, both of Alliance; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and former husband, Morris E. Unkefer.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday June 26th at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Jon Truax officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday June 25th and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
