Paul Eugene Bargdill, age 77, of Alliance, died at 10:50 p.m. August 18, 2005 at Alliance Community Hospital.
Mr. Bargdill was born June 8, 1928 in Donaldsville, Ohio to George and Eva (Wall) Bargdill, and moved to Alliance in 1971 from Marion.
Paul graduated from Donaldsville High School, and was employed as the Supervisor in Accounting, Collection and Credit for Ohio Edison before retiring.
He was a member of Oakland Presbyterian Church in Springfield, a 32 degree Mason, member of the Alliance Lions Club, and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by two sons, Jim of Jacksonville, Florida and Craig of Alliance; and two sisters, Shirley, of Minnesota, and Joyce Sexton of Beaver Creek, Ohio.
Mr. Bargdill was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Bruce Bargdill; his wife Carol L. (Rupert) Bargdill, whom he married in 1953, and who died April 29, 2005; two brothers, Richard Bargdill and Lawrence Bargdill; and one sister, Betty O'Hara.
A Graveside Service will be held Thursday. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Interment will be in South Solon Cemetery in Clark County, Ohio.
