Paul M. Harsh, age 87, of Alliance, passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at McCrea Manor.
He was born on January 8, 1930 in New Franklin, Ohio, to Oscar L. Harsh and Alice (Mensch) Harsh Vandegrift.
A graduate of Alliance High School, Paul was employed as a meat cutter at A&P for 30 years, before retiring after working at Alliance Motors in the parts department.
He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and a member at Abiding Savior Lutheran Church. Paul enjoyed reading, model railroads, and was a big baseball and football fan.
Survivors include his wife, Dolores (Gwynne) Harsh, whom he married April 14, 1950; children, Michael P. (Nancy) Harsh, Cheryl Harsh, and Lori (Michael) Chlysta; grandchildren, Jeff, Joe, Carrie, Andy, Shannon, Michael, and Alex; six great-grandchildren; and sister, Mary Ann L. Wolf of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and son, David Harsh.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. June 30, 2017 at Abiding Savior Lutheran Church with Pastor Angie Storer officiating. Friends may call from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service.
Interment will be held at Highland Memorial Park.
