Paul W. Ludwig, age 71 of Alliance, passed away at 3:10 p.m. Thursday December 18, 2014 at Alliance Community Hospital.
He was born December 27, 1942 in Detroit, Michigan to Heinz and Lois (Graff) Ludwig.
A graduate of Lincoln High School in Philadelphia, PA, Paul was the Printing Department Supervisor/Plant Manager at Jaite Packaging for 20 years and Printing Department Supervisor at Buckeye Packaging for 15 years before retiring in 2004.
Paul enjoyed fishing, traveling, watching NASCAR racing, and tinkering with anything.
Paul was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, brother and friend, and will be missed by many, including his wife, Nancy E. (Warner) Ludwig, whom he married March 6, 1993; son, David Ludwig of Alliance; daughters, Janet (Shawn) Meyers of Louisville, and Lisa Ludwig of Louisville; step-daughter, Hope Principe of Alliance, step-sons, Tod (J.P.) Gates of Maximo, and Ted (Tina) Gates of Alliance; mother, Lois Ludwig of NJ; brother, Gordon (Angie) Ludwig of NJ; grandchildren, Faith (Steven) Meyers Butterworth, Kayla and Melissa Meyers, Christy Ludwig, Justin (Kim) Principe, Jesi Principe, Greg (Vanessa) Gates, Fred, Jacqueline and Charity Gates, Cory Lambert, Katie Gates Kelly, Joseph Paul Gates and Lacie Weidow; great-grandchildren, Rosalee and Liliana Principe, Savanna and Hadrian Gates, Trevor Gates Wellman and Evelyn Olivia Inherst.
He was preceded in death by his father, granddaughter, Maranda Myers, and aunt, Miriam Graff.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
