Paul Moore

Paul "Joe" Moore, age 42, of Alliance, died in Mercer County, Pa., at 1:55 p.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2003.
He was born July 7, 1961, to Eva Spall. Joe was a 1980 graduate of Alliance High School and was employed as a truck driver with Smith Transport, having 20 years experience. He was formerly employed with Blue Velvet Transport and Warner Enterprise.
Mr Moore was a member of the First Baptist Church in Alliance where he was an usher and lay reader, served on the evangelism board and was a member of the Home Improvements Sunday School Class. Joe served as assistant scout master for Boy Scout Troop 18, and he was the assistant scout master of the former B.S.A. Troop 108. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Dena (Miller) Moore, whom he married Nov. 26, 1983; a son, Joseph Levi Moore; and two daughters, Courtney Amber Moore and Chelsea Lynnea Moore, all of the home; his mother, Eva Spall of Alliance; two brothers, Jack (Garnet) Moore and Bill Moore, both of Alliance; four sisters, Paula Moore of Sebring, Georgia Kay (David) Harden of Maple Heights, Bonnie Staggers of Alliance and Shawna Spall of Alliance, and several nieces and nephews.
In-laws include Levi and Ruby Miller, Tim (Carol) Miller, Cindy (Robert) Carpenter and Kristine (Walt) Paris.
His grandparents, Paul and Irene Moore; brothers, Scott and David Moore; and sister, Rae Burrier, preceded him in death.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Gordon Thomas officiating. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m,. Sunday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church. Interment will be in Limaville Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made at Unizan Bank, 2 West State St., Alliance, OH 44601, in the names of Joe, Courtney and Chelsea Moore.
