Paul B. Walker, age 85 of Alliance, died at 3:05 a.m. March 13, 2007 at Alliance Community Hospital.
Paul was born October 25, 1921 in Alliance to Alfred and Nellie (Ray) Walker and lived in the Alliance and Minerva area all his life.
A 1941 graduate of Alliance High School Mr. Walker retired in 1983 after 42 years as a Machinist and was a member of Morgan Engineering Retirees. His hobbies were woodworking and gardening. Paul was a U.S. Army-Air Force Staff Sgt. in WWII and an 8th Air-Force machine gunner and assistant engineer on a B17 and ran 26 missions out of England.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn (Frank) Walker, whom he married August 22, 1942; daughters, Judith Valentine of Minerva, Joyce (Robert) Buchanan of Limaville, Jean (Gary) Liber of N. Canton: son, John (Nondis) Walker of Massillon, brother; Harold Walker of Charlottsville, VA., seven grandchildren, Melissa, Richard, Angela, Aaron, Eric, Nathan and Vincent, five Great-Grandchildren, Brenna, Jordyn, Micah, Robbie, and Eden.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Edward Raymond Walker in 1984, brother Merle W. Walker in 1972, sister, Barbara McGirr in 2006 and grandson, Wayne Teeters.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Aaron Walker officiating. Friends may call from 10:30-11:00 Saturday. Interment will be at Moultrie Chapel Cemetery.
