Pauline Keen

April 5, 1922 — January 17, 2011

Pauline C. (Baab) Keen, age 88, of Sebring, formerly of Alliance, died at 8:10 p.m. Monday, January 17, 2011 at Crandall Medical Center.
She was born in Baltic, Ohio, April 5, 1922, to Valentine E. and Caroline E. (Ott) Baab and has resided in the vicinity since 1945.
Pauline was a 1940 graduate of Baltic High School and a 1945 graduate of Aultman Nursing School. She served as a cadet nurse during World War II.
She was employed by Alliance City Hospital in Obstetrics, provided private duty nursing, administered physical therapy and tutored physically challenged children. She also served as a camp nurse at Quaker Canyon Camp.
A member of Christ United Methodist Church since 1946, she was a member of the Friendship I Sunday school class, Crusaders Sunday school class, the United Methodist Women and formerly worked in the nursery for 45 years.
Survivors include her sons, Timothy A. Keen of South Bloomfield, and Robert M. (Peggy) Keen of Coshocton; daughters, Susan (Arthur) Johanson of Damascus, and Deborah (Carl) Anderson of Hartville; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Tiffany, Amanda, Melissa, Laura, Barbara, Andrew and Gregory; ten great-grandchildren; sister, Maxine (Wayne) Foster of Coshocton; sister-in-laws, Virginia Keen Robart of Sebring and Mary Baab of Newcomerstown; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald R. Keen whom she married Feb. 3, 1945 and who died April 20, 2008; infant daughter, Sally; infant grandson, James Arthur Johanson; and four brothers, Larry, Roland, Doren and Wayne Baab.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 21, 2011 at Christ United Methodist Church with Rev. Karl Stonebraker officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
