Pearl LaDean Leech, age 98, of Alliance, loving and devoted wife and mother, died Thursday May 21, 2020, at Bel Air Care Center.
She was born March 17, 1922, in Canton to Orth and Elsie (Haines) Prickett.
Pearl was a compassionate caregiver employed as a nurse’s aide for the former Jane Francis Nursing Home before her retirement.
She enjoyed country music and played the bass fiddle, guitar and sang in the Marlboro Hillbilly Band with her brother and sister.
Pearl is survived by sons, Harold (Linda) Leech of Enon Valley, PA, William (Judy) Leech of Alliance; daughters, Norma Wright and Dorothy (Dale) Rogers all of Alliance; 19 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great grand-children and many loving nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband William W. Leech, whom she married May 26, 1940 and who passed away on March 20, 1990; son Gary; daughters Katherine, Carol (James) Kinsey, Debra and son-in-law Douglas Wright; brothers Kenneth and Harold; and sisters Edna and Nelda.
Visitation will be held Friday May 29, 2020, from 11:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. A private interment will be held at Atwater Cemetery. A funeral service will be held at a later date.
