Pearl N. Moorehead age 94 of Alliance, died at 1:40 p.m. August 22, 2004 at Mercy Medical Center.
She was born June 25, 1910 in Marietta, Ohio to Frank and Anna (Springer) Thornton, and lived in Alliance for twenty years, after moving from Canton.
Mrs. Moorehead was employed by Ohio Bell Telephone as an operator, retiring in 1973. She was a member of Marlboro Christian Church, the Pioneer Club (through Ohio Bell), and Hard Scrabble Club.
Survivors include sisters, Beulah Estock and Anna Brockett, both of Alliance, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joseph, whom she married Nov. 26, 1936, and who died in Sept. 1950, one brother Roy, two nieces and one nephew.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Ed Harnish officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Marlboro Cemetery.
