Pearl Eva Patla, age 76, of Alliance, went home to be with her Lord at 5:30 a.m. Monday, November 17, 2008, at Canterbury Villa.
She was born February 12, 1932 in Homeworth to Alva and Dorothy Isabell (Conrad) Teeters and lived most of her life in the area.
Pearl was a 1951 graduate of Alliance High School and was a member of the First Christian Church where she served as a greeter. She was a former member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Rockville, Maryland.
Survivors include her sons, Darrell L. (Maria L.) Thompson of Minerva and Dale L. (Sonya) Thompson of Dorchester, SC; two daughters, Cindy L. (Cecil) Morrison of Frederick, MD, and Cathy S. (Albert) Adams of Melbourne, FL; eight grandchildren, Monica, Albert, Nitteya, Bianca, Trevin, Dorothy, Victoria and Joey; one great granddaughter Mya; sister, Mildred Ream of Alliance, brother, Donald Teeters of Alliance, sister, Freda Benner of Alliance, sister, June (Clyde) Ely of Columbus, sister, Buelah (Paul) Freed of Alliance; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Andrew J. Patla, whom she married June 27, 1981 and who died March 25, 2004; one brother, Carl Teeters; and one sister, Grace Risden.
A Private Memorial Service will be held Thursday at Highland Memorial Chapel.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the First Christian Church Building Fund, 1141W. Beech St. Alliance, Ohio 44601. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
