Pearl Stevens, age 76, of Alliance died at 8:17 a.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at her home.
She was born August 12, 1932 in Grahn, Kentucky to Bailey B. and Ethel (Bryant) Lowe.
Pearl was employed by the former Maloney Aluminum Co. in Sebring, American Steel Foundries in Alliance and Star Extruded Shapes in Canfield until her retirement in November of 2004.
She was an avid reader who loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her three daughters, Beverly (Terry) Rastetter of Alliance, Connie (Dan) Shrader of Martinsburg, West Virginia and Debbie (Willy) Williams of Chesapeake, Virginia; six grandchildren; 11 great- grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; one brother, Frank (Edna Mae) Lowe of Mansfield; three sisters, Lucille Barker of Grahn, Kentucky, Ruby Carroll of Ypsilanti, Michigan, and Lynn Lowe of Mansfield, Ohio; special nephew, Owen Stevens of Alliance; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, James Luster Stevens, whom she married June 25, 1952 and who died October 13, 1973; and two brothers, Jim and Chester Lowe.
Services will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 18, 2009 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Jimmy Holbrook officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Friday. Private family interment will be held at Alliance City Cemetery.
