Peggy A. Pierson, age 68, of Sebring, passed away at 5:44 p.m., Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at University Park Nursing Rehab in Akron.
She was born, February 19, 1941, in Parkersburg, WV to James Morgan Beckett and Oza Ann (Allred) Beckett and lived in the Alliance and Sebring area since 1970.
A graduate of Parkersburg High School, Peggy was employed at the former Value City Department Store.
Survivors include: two sons, Brian Scott Pierson of Virginia Beach VA; and Jeffrey Alan Pierson of Cincinnati; one step-daughter, Becky Dines of Mineral Wells, WV; one granddaughter, whom she raised, Kristen Pierson of Sebring; three grandchildren, Morgan, Tyler and Abby; two step-grandchildren, Rusty and Gena; four sisters, Carolyn Stutler of Rockport, WV, and Audrey Balderson, Grace Pierson and Sharon Buffington, all of Parkersburg, WV.
Preceding her in death were her parents, and two brothers, Joel B. Beckett, and James Morgan Beckett, Jr.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, December 7, 2009 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. prior to the service.
