Peter James Garrison, age 63 of Alliance, died at 3:52 p.m. March 26, 2010 at Alliance Community Hospital.
He was born March 16, 1947 in Alliance, Ohio to Wayne and Lena Garrison.
Pete retired from Kraft Foods as Quality Control Inspector in 2004 after 30 years of service. He previously worked for Transue and Williams after serving in the U.S. Navy.
He was a member of the American Legion, NHRA and very active member of AA for 22 ? years. Pete loved fishing, hunting and gardening.
Survivors include his wife of forty years, Margaret Allison Garrison; sons, Tony (Sherry) Garrison of Gambier, Jim (Maggie) Garrison of Alliance, daughter Lea Ann Garrison of Newcomerstown; grandchildren, Corey, Adaira, Bruce, Austin and Carolyn; mother and father-in-law, Deane and Sarah Allison; sisters, Barbara (Jerry) Stokes of Canton, Norma (Brandon) Blum of Atlanta; lifelong friend and brother-in-law, Louie DelPuppo; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, and stepfather, Merle "Tony" Gibson.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Phil Shephard officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
