Phyllis G. Bruni, age 77, of Alliance, died at 12:31 a.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at Salem Community Hospital.
She was born April 9, 1933, in Olive Hill, Kentucky, to Harry and Lilly Mae (DeBoard) Kiser.
Phyllis was a graduate of Alliance High School and was employed as a telephone operator with Ohio Bell and a hostess at Perkins Pancakes.
She was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church for more than 50 years and a member of the AARP.
Survivors include her children, Gay Lynn Christy of Beloit and Joe Bruni of Randolph; grandson, Jim (Jessica) Christy of Columbus; two sisters, Bonnie Cobbs of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. and Marjorie Moore of Olive Hill, Ky.; and a brother, Bill Kiser of Waverly Texas.
Preceding her in death were her parents; four sisters, Helen Feess, June Raybourn, Jackie Cotton and Nell Bucher; and two brothers, Vernon Kiser and Jay Kiser.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 12, 2011 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Rev. Karl Stonebraker officiating. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
