Phyllis N. Burton
Phyllis N. (Fortunato) Burton, age 80, of Sebring, died at 10:00 p.m. Friday May 14, 2004, from the result of an automobile accident.
Mrs. Burton was born December 25, 1923 in Youngstown, Ohio to Toby and Rose (Novello) Mirto. She graduated from Rayen High School, and assisted her first husband Frank Fortunato in his accounting and legal practice. She also worked in the Registrar's office at Youngstown State University.
Phyllis was a member of Pine Lake Christian Church, the Christian Women's Group, the American Business Women's Association, a Volunteer for Alliance Community Hospital Auxiliary, and the Alliance Senior Center.
Survivors include a son and daughter in law Fred and Belinda Fortunato, grandsons Frank Fortunato and Joseph Fortunato, granddaughter Gina Fortunato, all of Roswell Georgia. a stepson Richard (Debbie) Burton Jr. of Minerva, two brothers Arthur Mirto of Youngstown, and Larry Mirto of Howland.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her first husband, Frank in 1996 and a brother Daniel.
Services will be held at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Wednesday with Pastor Vernon Russell officiating. Visitation will be held from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. Interment will be at Greenhaven Memorial Gardens in Canfield.
