Phyllis Jean Freeman (age 86) of Alliance Ohio transitioned into eternal rest on Thursday December 15, 2022. She was surrounded by family in the comfort of her home.
She was born March 26th, 1936, in Cadiz Ohio to Estella and George Bell. She worked as a caregiver for a short time and was a homemaker most of her life. She enjoyed family gatherings, which gave her the opportunity to cook some of her family’s favorite dishes. Some of her specialties included mac and cheese, sweet potatoes and cornbread. In addition, she enjoyed traveling and her passionate love for the game of bingo was unmatched.
She was preceded in death by her (husband) Charles Henry Freeman. (Parents) Estella and George Bell. (Children) Larry Carter, Charles Freeman Jr., Dedra Freeman. (Sisters) Jaqueline Golsby, Marion Merchant. (Brothers) David Russell Bell, Richard Bell, and George Bell.
Those left to cherish her memory are sisters, Sandra Woodard, Patricia (George) Sims, Donna West, Betty Graham, Mary (Robert) Cromer, Leah Bell and Beverly Bell all of Columbus, Ohio; Brother, Raymond Bell; her loving children, Joe (Karen) Carter of Columbus, Ohio, Danny Carter, Ricky (Ann) Freeman, Tearna (Don) Young, and Lucretia Wright of Alliance, Ohio; her grandchildren, Aaron Carter of Columbus, Ohio, La’Trisha Jackson of Phoenix, Arizona, Cherequa Freeman of Massillon, Ohio, Robert (Markesha) Fountain IV, Darnell Freeman of Alliance, Ohio, Robi’On Fountain of Columbus, Ohio, Dezaray Wright, Ricky Freeman Jr, Cam’Ron Freeman, Shealese Freeman, Nicole Hicks of Alliance, Ohio, Danielle Carter, Tearna Freeman of Warren, Ohio, Matthew Kirksey, and Raisha Cundiff of Akron, Ohio, La’Porshia Freeman of Waukegan, Illinois. She also leaves behind 24 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service for family and friends will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday December 28th, 2022, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. A viewing for the public will be held at 2:00 pm. The family wishes to thank you all for exceptional support and love during this time.
