Porter W. Hickman age 54, of Homeworth died at 10:48 p.m. Monday, January 9, 2012, at Oakhill Life Care Center.
He was born March 30, 1957, in Alliance, Ohio, to Edgar V. and Delores (Moore) Hickman and was a lifelong area resident.
A 1975 graduate of West Branch High School, Porter was employed at TTI (the former Hoover Company).
Porter was a member of the Middle Sandy Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, baseball, loved to read and was an avid astronomy enthusiast.
He is survived by his mother, Delores Hickman of Homeworth; brother, Justin Hickman of Bridgewater, Virginia; sons, Adam Hickman of Alliance and Zachary Hickman of Detroit Michigan; three grandchildren, Trinity, Rayven and Xavier; and many relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father; brother, Gordon C. Hickman; and grandparents, George and Lola Moore and Levi and Sarah Hickman.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 13, 2012, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Sawyer officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
