Quay V. Kimes

Quay V. (Crawford) Kimes age 93, of Homeworth, passed away at 3:37 p.m., Monday, February 5, 2018, at Alliance Community Hospital.
She was born December 1, 1924, in Alliance, Ohio, to Arthur B. and Nora (Miller) Crawford.
Quay was a graduate of Alliance High School. She was a member of the Reading Church of the Brethren and the Greeley Grange.
She enjoyed crossword puzzles, followed sports and politics, and had volunteered at Alliance Community Hospital, Knox Elementary and Liberty Elementary Schools.
Survivors include her children, Harry B. (Cathy) Kimes, Sarah (Kenneth) Sanor, Margaret Kimes and Nora (Ronald A.) Curfman, all of Homeworth; daughter-in-law, Susan Kimes of Texas; grandchildren, Hilary (Aaron) Bernstein, Chad B. Kimes, Benjamin (Kristi) Sanor, Jane (Robert) Bolan, Nathan (Sarah) Kimes, Addie (Joseph) Starrett, and Daniel (Blenda) Kimes; and great-grandchildren, Ezra, Eloise, Karlee, Andrew, Evelyn, Wesley, Ivana, Diego and Ryan.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; Walter R. Kimes who died in 1999; son, David Kimes; and siblings, Ruth Donley, Schuyler B. Crawford, Jane Speelman and her twin brother, Dr. John E. Crawford.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, February 10, 2018, at Reading Church of the Brethren with Pastor Larry Bradley officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
