R. Dean Allmon, age 55 of Alliance, died at 11:58 p.m. Friday, September 30, 2005 at home.
He was born April 13, 1950 in Massillon, Ohio to C. Bruce and Katherine (Ruth) Allmon, and was an area resident most of his life.
Mr. Allmon was a 1968 graduate of Alliance High School and was a self employed carpenter and was employed by Harrison Paint and Sherwin Williams Paint.
He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church. Dean enjoyed playing golf, fishing and woodworking which he was very creative with. He was also a veteran in the National Guard.
Bruce is survived by his mother, Katherine Allmon of Alliance, three sisters; Karen (Jim) Goins of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Joyce (Rick) Stoner of Berthoud, Colorado, Mary Lynn (David) Stallings of Malaysia, one brother, Dan Allmon of Alliance, and two nieces and five nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, who died on June 7, 1980.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Ken Baker of the New Baltimore Community Church officiating. No Visitation will be held. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alliance Visiting Nurse Hospice Association, 885 S. Sawburg Rd. Alliance, Ohio 44601.
