R. William "Bill" Nutial

R. William "Bill" Nutial, age 90, of Alliance, passed away at 5:30 p.m., Monday, January 25, 2016, at Alliance Community Hospital.
He was born April 28, 1925, in Darlington, Pennsylvania, to Pete and Anna (Mirron) Nutial.
Bill was a 1943 graduate of Alliance High School. He was formerly employed at Alliance Machine Company for seven years as a steel mill equipment estimator and at Morgan Engineering Company for 32 years as a crane estimator.
He was a United States Navy Veteran during World War II and had served on convoy duty from the United States to Africa and Italy.
Bill attended Alliance Friends Church, was member of the church Friendship Class, American Legion Post No. 1036 and past exalted ruler at BPO Elks Lodge No. 467.
He loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Mary (Hampu) Nutial whom he married November 12, 1949; sons, George W. (Judy) Nutial of Akron and Gary A. (Leigh) Nutial and Greg W. (Patty) Nutial, both of Alliance; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and siblings, Pauline Domencetti, Constance, Sylvia and Leautina Nutial, Elizabeth Mudore, Mary Jane Gampo, George Nutial, Charles Nutial and Virginia Pentilescu.
Services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, January 29, 2016, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Sams officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, January 28, 2016. Interment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
