Raissa Teppert, age 76, of Alliance, passed away at 6:15 p.m. Saturday, December 11, 2010, at Canterbury Villa.
She was born September 28, 1934, in Cherkassy, Ukraine, to Nikita and Maria (Belan) Kotolup.
Raissa retired in 1989 from the former Sugardale Foods. She was a member of the Russian Orthodox Church and enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband; Josef Teppert, of Alliance, whom she married July 7, 1956; sons, Joseph (Julie) Teppert Jr. of Louisville and Ernest (Georgia) Teppert of Latrobe, PA; daughter, Tamara (Rob) Corke of Alliance; seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Michael, Natalie, Steven, Alexandra, Arielle and Alivia; and brother, Nick (Linda) Kotolup of Alliance.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Sasha and Anton Kotolup.
A private memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Fr. Donald Feicht officiating.
