Ralph M. Bebout, age 78, of Byesville, Ohio, and formerly of Alliance, died at 6:35 p.m. Friday, June 15, 2012 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville, Ohio.
He was born April 25, 1934 in Wellsville, Ohio to Harry L. and Pearl Elizabeth (Huff) Bebout.
Mr. Bebout worked at Morgan Engineering for 30 years as an electrician and for Con-Lift in Rootstown for nine years, before retiring from T&W Forging in 1996.
Ralph was a member of Cambridge Church of the Nazarene and was a longtime member of the Alliance Church of the Nazarene, where he served as head usher and a greeter. He was also on the board of directors, building and property committee, and Sunday school board.
A U. S. Navy veteran, having served during the Korean Conflict, he was a member of DAV Chapter 50.
Survivors include his wife, Emma F. (Brady) Bebout, whom he married May 15, 1953; children, Pamela Lea (Craig) Anderson, of Canton, Steven Michael (Cindy) Bebout of Cambridge, and Lori June (Larry) Ridgeway, of Canton; grandchildren, Erin, Jamie, Jake, Zac, T.J., Kristy, Jennifer, Stacy and adopted granddaughter, Diane Barker; fourteen great-grandchildren; brother, Donald L. (Connie) Bebout, of Dayton; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Dale Bebout, sisters, Ina Mae Kramer and Wanda Hawkins, and sister-in-law, Mary Bebout.
Services will be held Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at the Alliance Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Greg Kasler officiating. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m., Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home.
Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
