Ralph Winfield Freeman, age 60, of Alliance, passed away at 7:38 a.m., Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at his home.
He was born September 24, 1954, in Salem, Ohio, to Ralph Sr. and Ann (Spigelski) Freeman and was a lifelong area resident.
Ralph was a long-haul truck driver for Laugherty Transport. He also worked for American Aluminum, Ecodyne MRM, and Crane Plumbing.
He was a member of Bolton United Methodist Church and an Ohio State Buckeye fan.
Survivors include his wife, Sheri (Quillman) Freeman whom he married November 12, 1994; step-children, Jaemi Phelan of Huntersville, North Carolina, Joseph (Rikki) Scheible, Danielle (Jason) Steer, Jason (Abbey) Leonard and Michael Leonard, all of Alliance; seven grandchildren; siblings, Bonnie (Bill) Wilson, Larry (Linda) Freeman, Bonnie (Dennis) Anderson, Linda Martin, Carol McIlvain, Joyce Pettigrew, Joan (Ron) Cochran and Gary Freeman; several nieces and nephews; and longtime friend, Bill Reichenbach, who helped care for him during his last few weeks.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be held at Noon, Monday, December 8, 2014, at Vine Street United Methodist Church with Dr. David Bloor officiating. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to Noon prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made for random acts of kindness or to Alliance Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice, 885 S. Sawburg Rd. Suite 106, Alliance, OH 44601.
