Ralph Arthur Marshall

Ralph Arthur Marshall, age 98, of Alliance, passed away at 8:26 p.m., November 13, 2015, at Alliance Community Hospital.
He was born June 8, 1917, in Alliance Ohio to George and Nellie (Barnes) Marshall and was a lifelong area resident.
A 1935 graduate of Alliance High School, Ralph was a machinist at Babcock and Wilcox Research Center. He retired in 1982 after 32 years of service.
Ralph was a member of the Bolton United Methodist Church and had served as a Sunday school teacher, trustee and member of the choir, administrative council and the Bible study group. He was also a member of the Babcock and Wilcox 20-year Club.
He loved his church, traveling to Walt Disney World and especially loved his family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include his children, Margaret (Dr. David) Bloor of Homeworth and Larry (Patricia) Marshall of Louisville; grandchildren, Michael (Gina) Blymiller of Homeworth, Steven (Vickie) Blymiller of Lisbon, Patricia Blymiller of Newton Falls, Jeffrey (Erica) Marshall and Jennifer (Robert) Petrack, both of Louisville, and Julie (John) Cain of Alliance; great-grandchildren, Shawn Blymiller, Carolyn (Aaron) Felger, Samantha Blymiller, Matthew Blymiller, Payshunze Blymiller, Alicia Marshall, Tiffany Marshall, Lindsay Marshall, Max Petrack, Dylan Cain, Collier Cain, Brian Cain and Abbey Cain; great-great- grandchild, Cody Lewis; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Beatrice (Slusser) Marshall, whom he married June 13, 1938 and who died June 18, 2004; daughter, Carolyn (James) Blymiller; and siblings, Mildred Lacher, Sylvia Austin and Shirley Haidet.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Dr. David Bloor officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
