Ralph Wendell Millard, age 93, of Sebring, passed away at 4:35 a.m., Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at Crandall Medical Center.
He was born August 12, 1922, in Alliance, Ohio, to Stanley and Elizabeth (Oyster) Millard and was a lifelong area resident.
A 1940 graduate of Alliance High School, Ralph was employed at The Hoover Company for 40 years until his retirement in 1987.
A member for 60 years with First Baptist Church in Alliance, Ralph was also on the board of directors at the church. He had a life membership at the Nimishillen Grange and a member of the Minerva Burly Q's square dance club. He loved photography.
Ralph was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corp having served stateside during World War II from 1942 to 1946.
Survivors include his daughter, Penny (Jeff) Frame of Carrollton; sons, Fred (Bonnie) Millard of Louisville, Carl (Marie) Millard of Alliance, Ronald Millard of Alliance, and Thomas (Rhonda) Millard of Arizona; 14 grandchildren, Cara, Seth, Carla, Heidi, Abbie, Kessler, Kyle, Natasha, Anthony, Samantha, Alex, Gabriele, Kaitlynn and Emily; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents; infant granddaughter, Paula Kim Millard; and siblings, Wade Millard, Virginia Pontius, Edward Millard, Robert Millard, and Lorin Millard; and his twin infant brother.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 16, 2016, at Highland Memorial Park with Pastor Bob Miller officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday April 15, 2016, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
