Ray Betz

Ray Howard Betz, age 68 of Alliance, died at 10:25 p.m. March 14, 2008 at Alliance Community Hospital. He was born August 10, 1939 in Canton, Ohio to Howard and Grace Betz and had recently moved to Alliance. A 1957 graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School, Ray restored Antique Cars. Mr. Betz attended The Chapel in Marlboro. His survivors include his wife, Mary L. (Zindel) Betz, whom he married May 5, 1982; sons, Marc D. Heck of Alliance, and Ray Olen (Amy) Betz of Harrisburg, NC; six grandchildren; and one sister, Ruth (Robert) Betz Watterson. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Wayne Olen Betz, and two children, Keith and Doug Heck. A Memorial Reception will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Arrangements are by Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home, Alliance Ohio.
