Raymond Leroy Tucker, age 74, of Alliance, passed away on July 15, 2022.
He was born on September 24, 1947 in Athens, OH to Raymond and Faye (Grigsby) Tucker.
Raymond graduated from Alliance High School and attended Kent State Salem. He served his country in the U.S. Navy. Raymond was a member of the Alliance Police department for four years and also the Lexington Volunteer Fire Department for 13 years.
Raymond attended Lexington United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of the Police (F.O.P), the American Legion, and the Louisville Eagles. Raymond was a train enthusiast who enjoyed model railroading.
Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Mark (Carolyn) Tucker and Jason Tucker; grandchildren, Olivia, Izabella, Madison, Harrison, Adam and Allison; sister, Pamela (Richard) DeMuth.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Cathy (Bartlett) Tucker, whom he married on July 7, 1968 and passed away on September 6, 2015; and son, Rusty Tucker.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday July 23, 2022 at 1 p.m. at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Bobby Williams officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Aultman Alliance Community Care 200 E. State Street Alliance, OH 44601.
